Office Manager
About Us: unitē Mental Health & Wellness is a newly established behavioral health practice dedicated to providing comprehensive mental health services to individuals, families, and communities. unité Mental Health & Wellness is seeking an organized, professional, and dependable Office Manager for our Houghton office. This position is responsible for supporting day-to-day office operations, creating a welcoming environment for clients, and helping ensure smooth administrative flow for staff and therapists.
This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, able to manage multiple responsibilities, and comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare or mental health setting.
Responsibilities

Oversee daily front office operations

Greet clients and visitors in a warm and professional manner

Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and direct calls appropriately

Schedule appointments and assist with cancellations and calendar coordination

Maintain accurate client information and office records
-
Assist with intake paperwork and administrative documentation

Support workflows related to billing, insurance, and patient account questions
-
Maintain office supplies, organization, and front desk procedures
-
Coordinate communication between staff, therapists, and leadership

Assist with filing, scanning, recordkeeping, and other clerical tasks

Help resolve routine office and client concerns

Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in accordance with HIPAA and office policies

Proficiency with computers, email, scheduling systems, and office software

Professional, dependable, and respectful in working with clients and staff
Education and Experience:

Relevant office or administrative experience required

Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred

Experience in a healthcare, mental health, or medical office setting preferred

Experience with scheduling, insurance verification, or electronic health records preferred
